For who followed a link into this web log

Hi, this is the official apology since the book of poetry which was initially available here in this weblog, to be used by those whom can, for the purposes of exorcisms, is no longer available.

If your need for the poems by which the nightmare of invasion can be exorcised, then try at lulu.com where it now costs $30 US plus the shipping cost. But if you are not able to afford that, then explain that to me in the comments field below, since I might be able to let you obtain either a PDF file of for free, or a cheaper paper copy. The volume is now called:

The Christmas Which Never Came

And in the present edition is accompanied by a contextualising essay, and the whole is subtitled:
Through the Strangeness of Strangers
But for a Boy with a Book

There is one other title at lulu.com, in my name: Rebecca Copas, which is also called The Christmas Which Never Came, but subtitled Dreaming Haadjir. That volume contains a minor quantity of the same poetry, and also has a much more in depth analysis of the associated psychology. However it is still only in a manuscript form, and being made available now as it is only for the purposes of those whom conceive of its effectiveness in tafsir analysis.

SUGAR

SUGAR

This is a story about me and the sugar glider, so I start with the story I first learned about sugar gliders in. I have a friend who moved from a remote subtropical rainforest community into Canberra, and often returned to her land for rest, respite, recuperation, and re-finding temperance to her own landscape. Once upon a time, since the best part of the story always begins that way, when she came home to the house we shared in Canberra, there was a sugar glider among her luggage. She knew right what to do. The Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service (WIRES) can put everybody into their right track with rescuing native animals. The right track turned out to be that a National Park Ranger arrived and provided an escort for the sugar gliders journey by aeroplane, and the Australian Government expense, back into its natural habitat. Not just into the same sort of rainforest, but the exact rainforest it came from, and not just the same sort of tree a sugar glider usually lives in, but the exact right tree in which it has its home. It was a rare kind of sugar glider.

Now it happened to me more recently, among other things, that I have been asked to provide photos of Australian fauna, which were already in the internet, into another part of the internet, where two friends have a thread in a Muslim website forum for anybody who joins them, to show and tell about their animals. So I went web surfing for Australian fauna photography. I had already looked at thorny devils, red kangaroos, wallabies, bilbies, monitors, red bellied black snakes, taipans, tiger snakes, diamond pythons, rock formations, the odd camel, sturt desert pea and Spinifex grass, Spinifex hopping mice, termites, emus, budgerigars (whom apparently, are mentioned in Qur’an alongside the camel as having a place reserved in the Kingdom above), King parrots, the red tailed black cockatoo, marine and fresh water turtles, more roos, more emus, flying foxes, and then I found the sugar glider. I noticed a very strange thing straight away. A much larger percentage of the sugar glider photos were taken of sugar gliders in captivity. That’s odd, I thought.

However the WIRES e-mail I receive informs me not to worry my self too much because they are being breed by pet breeders in the United States of America, and that there are already so many around who were breed in captivity that the problem of protecting them is already insurmountable.

But there is an extremely distressing fact associated with the breeding of sugar gliders which is being conducted in the USA. There are incidents, upon which the better breed of breeders, want to prove that their own breeding techniques are far less invasive, though they all are working towards domesticating the species. One web site details a significant quantity of information about the proper methodology in breeding a sugar glider, and is named “glider university”. In their definition of what is proper they also outline in vivid detail exactly what other breeders are doing which is not so proper.

In Aboriginal culture, if a thing is not properly in culture, then it is never described so as to prevent any continuance of the act. And facts of abuse are never portrayed until a happy resolution has been Dreamed through by enough people, and the start of the story in which that happy resolution occurs, is proven in reality to have commenced.

I wonder if glider university is named as it is, because the Americans are discovering that marsupials are exceptionally devious at finding methods to get around the taming process? Will the sugar glider ever learn to jump on command! The bastards for ever even trying to make them. But glider university details that some sugar gliders are very docile, yet that it is a damage done to their genetic, in which they have been caused to be very lethargic, by removal from their mother too young. Glider university recommends against the practise.

Glider university also portrays, with two lengthy articles, the following facts:
Marsupials are born not yet in full gestation, and at birth, (they miss out the description of the arduous life the infant is conditioned to at that time in a climb into the pouch), the infant attaches to their mother’s “nipple”, as though through an umbilical cord and placenta. The bond between the infant and the mother’s milk gland, (it ain’t at all nipple shaped), lasts seventy days. After which the infant can leave the pouch for very brief periods.

Then it relates that at that time the parents might leave the infant all alone for periods of up to thirty minutes at a time! This fact is reported as though it could distress an American. And somewhere in the back of my mind I can remember having relayed to an American, the story about the mother who left her baby in the shade to unite with a man whom was not her actual Husband, in which the baby died. It is a powerful Dreaming. Actually it sort of happened to me, but I was left in the sunshine, and my mother was swimming with her cronies at the beach, and I did not die, but rather became covered in ants who came to eat the alcohol based sun screen lotion on me. I was then myself two weeks out of the womb and had been left for thirty minutes alone. Glider university informs us now that you may only really handle the sugar glider infants when they have had about two weeks of briefly experiencing life out of the pouch. This was getting weird for me. Apparently the baby sugar gliders have a very real need of their father as well as their mother, and that paternal child relationship should not be harmed. I am reminded of having written about why Aborigine children have been at risk in their own communities, and having written that the main fault is in the fact of the high level of incarceration of the adult male population, and the multiply incidents of anal rape being forced upon those men, after which their heart is not able to be in their father hood, because many are abused into receiving the labelling of being a sexual offender, only from having an erection while being anally raped. Certainly no Aborigine child’s father ought ever have had to endure that; and no Aborigine child ever needed to find their way in life without a decent father, since in out way we all have many fathers.

But get this will you? Glider university describes that it is perfectly alright to mal-adapt your own mind towards the sugar glider, by personification taken to an extent of defying the natural condition of the species. For example:
In the event that they are left alone, it has been observed that the parents will cover the joeys with a "blankie" or something of that nature to keep them warm. If the joeys do cry out and the parents ignore them for several minutes, that DOES NOT indicate bad parenting or sign of rejection. It merely indicates that the parents want a little time to themselves. The joeys may be left for about 20-30 minutes, sometimes even a few minutes longer. Many new glider caregivers, having been misinformed, may have a tendency to panic when they see the joey left alone and attempt to "rescue" it. It is important to remember that the joeys need the mother sugar glider's milk to get the very important immunoglobulins that cannot be reproduced in a supplemental milk or nutritional supplement. It is best to leave the situation alone, and let the glider parents do their job the way they want to do it.
But why can I remember that in the Dreamtime story in which a mother leaves her baby unattended, and it dies, she had covered the baby up somewhat with leaves; but I know I did not tell the Americans that part of the story. So what is the heavy emphasis on the “Blankie” for, or am I just being too imaginative here myself?
Why are Americans in need of reassurance that a marsupial will look after it offspring?
But why are there so many sugar glider breeders in America, and other parts of the world, whom want to breed a domesticated variety? Are us Aussies just too wild or something?
But even worse, why is it that drifting off to sleep for the first time after finding the glider university, I had a dream of an American blaming me, in my being an Aborigine, as though the Aboriginal Australian race is all alike to a newborn marsupial, in character and temperament even in adulthood. And now I recall in the back of my mind being informed by a Australian person whom believes that Indigenous American Animist belief is true while Australian Animist is abuse: that every baby shows their essence more strongly when first born and not yet subject to environmental concerns. So what has glider university to tell us about a sugar glider joey? (maybe I need to enrol in a course there to learn how to be a Human being, since the condemnation upon our whole nation from American and other sources, is that we provide of animal self to EVEN OUR CHILDREN!) Glider university tell us that a newborn joey sugar glider embodies these conditions:
~The lungs are only partially developed
~The separation of the ventricles of the heart is incomplete
~Some cranial nerves are lacking
~There are no eye pigments or lids
~Cannot hear
~Jaws are not fully developed
But then in another section of glider university, we are taught that when born a joey is not much bigger than a grain of rice.
We are taught that the joey is not fully gestated, and that full term in utero is normally another seventy days in the pouch permanently attached to the mother’s milk gland in replacement of a placenta. We are in fact learning to devalue our own native species because of not having a placenta.
So now I am remembering my arguments made among American Muslims, in which the Sikh internet site users believed me and demonstrated more perfect Islam than those I disputed, in which I argued that a marsupial is an evolutionary improvement upon a rodent, and to be taken seriously as evidence of a portion of Qur’an.
While all along these Americans I argued with had already potentially been exposed to a false education as though missing a placenta defines a failure of maternal love.
“When a joey is "born" it is extremely underdeveloped!” they remind me in the public section of the glider university site. And I feel obligated to undertake their schooling in the development process.
Later in the same page of glider university we are informed that:
There have been several instances in which a 'breeder' will sell sugar glider joeys just a few days or weeks out of pouch, saying: "Well, in all reality, they were born months ago, so really, they're fine." We all know this isn't true. Persons who sell joeys this young are irresponsible and unethical.
So perhaps I need to learn to use these markings “” to define words one way in one context and another way in another context.
But the worst part about glider university is their photography. Well actually maybe the worst part is the fact that all the publicly accessible information is damnation of many other sugar glider breeders, for not doing the job more properly.
There is a photo of a grain of rice next to a grain of rice sized dead fetus, already naturally born, but who clearly had only not made the climb to the pouch in complete safety. Such things obviously can happen. But at glider university the breeder who took the photograph is a terrible murderous individual.
Glider university homepage has a BIG RED WARNING. “Caution: graphic content below (click read more to continue); and clicking read more, I find that it is only the tiny weany dead baby sized just a bit bigger than a grain of rice. What, were we meant to be horrified that death exists? The site also has a link to “the All God’s Creatures” website which is born again Christianity for very cute, born furry, placental mammals. I read more
“It is quite another thing to show photographs of a "just born" joey (obviously dead) comparing it to a grain of rice. How the photographer could feel justified in not only taking the photo, but then putting it on a website, is beyond me. These newborns are as small as a grain of rice--and the birth process is very rapid and usually goes unnoticed by the carer, because it SHOULD GO UNNOTICED. There are not very many ways these pictures could have happened. It looks as if the photographer interfered with the birth process and killed the joey, either on purpose or by accident, and then took a photograph. If this is the case, whether the photgrapher meant to kill the joey or not is irrelevant. It was irresponsible, and completely unethical. The callous recklessness with regard to the sanctity of life is blatant and reprehensible. It also once again shows that just because someone may have a license to breed sugar gliders, it is more often a license to kill. The most disgusting part of this photo is that the photographer obviously had no problem with posting on a website. There was no need for this. The description of the newborn joey contained on her website or even at most sugar glider websites (including GU), is enough--there is no need for a picture that just represents the death of another sugar glider due to the ignorance of the sugar glider caregiver. There is also no need to encourage other people to try and get a photo like this by putting this up on the site.”
Then the photographer is named and placed in a list of banned sugar glider breeders. But meanwhile, just around the corner, there is another photo of a baby sugar glider which shows a neat size comparison from a grain of rice to its head alone in a photo being the size of a Human thumb nail. That is ten days of a phenomenal milk supply wouldn’t you agree?
The link reads like this:
“In the most recent case of "hand feeding" from To and Fro Gliders (click here to see the photograph), these gliders were detached from the nipple at least 10 days early.”
No big fuss about the shocking appearance in this instance, since the sugar glider in the photo is clinically alive, but showing symptoms of haemorrhaging where it was removed from the milk duct. I can’t get that tiny baby out of my mind.
Neither can I continue to tolerant knowing that the mother might be getting milked without making this a public issue here in Australia. The photo of the baby had milk splashes around it, but nowhere near its mouth. I can’t stop crying over the image. But maybe that is just my story because my children were removed from me through discrimination against my sanity in a decision to identify as an Aborigine even though I am white. Apparently if a paler skin female has an intimate relationship with a darker skin man, and they are Aboriginal Australians, then that is tantamount to either insanity beyond being able to intelligently care for children, or it is a confession of want to rape children. There seem to have been folk who knew something I did not, and eventually I found out that when men are placed in prison here in Australia, same deal for every one among, that you need to be sodomised to test you for your tolerances so as to place you correctly in the prison community. I wonder if they are up to milking marsupial semen? In prison what the response in a man, or boy’s penis is, determines his social status and how “black” he can be regarded. Erect or not, how far, and was any semen forced out by pressure upon the prostate. A few of those whom could not prevent their own erection, but whom do not ejaculate, and in their responses to violence and drugs also, fit the bill to be whom has to re-conduct the experiment upon the next fellow to enter the gaol, show a remarkable skill in directing the pressure of their penetration such as to force the erection and ejaculation or not, depending upon whom they will want to be put where in the system. So, because I know these things, and my own children were taken off me, simply because I found out these things, I might not be the best person to evaluate the real need for concern about the sugar glider species from. I have been a dry well of endless tears for too long, and now the baby sugar gliders disposition is too far many too ills for me to bear without tears.
Maybe it is my indigenous nature which is permitting me to cry now? Because now I know that when I die I will have to be “turned into” a sugar glider. A sugar glider pet colony even. The sugar glider is becoming one of my own totems through this story. And all Heaven be praise that very many Aboriginal mothers and children will have the story along with me, since it is the clearest example we have that we did not cause our children to be stolen. We are not “the paedophile” as the prison system asserts, just little sugar gliders if we get too afraid about captivity.
Actually there were quite a few other animals I might need to be turned into through the process of having discovered this story.

Roasted

I wrote
A book of poetry
Called it toasted
And am of boasted
Its expression of
A few wonders in me
About my sugar glider
Which can't yet see
Is she you or was she me
That little one
Who grew up to be
The evidence for the world to see
They are abusing
Our species
In many variety
By make up
And medicines
That hide of
The mess created
By no less than
What that done
Collect upon
How the lesson
Thus ever begun
Babe removed from a mother
Could not yet see
But indeed

And if you are game to catch
Makes for the perfect feast

Its song will move on

To where none
Do dare
And its heart bare
Never win its fey fayre
But its ancient meat
Hold love to keep

Emus

Emus are alike
To a turkey fight
A peacock right
And a family bite
It has feathers alright
And a kick of might

The Kangaroo is my sister friend
Who will weather this when
Birds of a feather
Are all flocked together
And our own mob known
A mighty tether
Always on side
Is Kangaroo kind

Beware the lake

Than to be a mark of
The Australian Character

Glider university is not unusual except perhaps in the real quality of information it is providing. Perhaps also the extent to which it is leaning its credibility upon damning other breeders. We all might suppose that there is a really competitive market among sugar glider breeders. Indeed we find that there is ample advice about how not to remove the infant too young, LIKE THOSE OTHER BREEDERS DO, or else it is damaging the genetic by reducing life expectancy. But they go all docile and cute then, don’t they; as though the docility were not also evidence of harm being done the genetic. A bit like Aborigines who are white and too educated to remember when we know better already than what we are being educated into. Glider university promotes the concept of breeding “pet colonies” of sugar gliders in which all the males are neutered. But it is not telling us why nobody else agrees with the idea. Neither is the idea of a “pet colony” being related to the life expectancy.

Then if you consider that here in Australia there are syndicates of ex-police officers, whom own many of the hydroponics shops, presumably so as to tip off who needs to know if an new buyer comes along with a bit of a cannabis pong and buys up big. And such shops contain even the growth manuals of the cannabis plants, with how to for harvest as well as soil pH, etc. Who is it but whom is ‘getting their tits off’ on small marsupial milk, and where is the evidence able to get out the back door from the American Food and Drug administration? I have a mind to be asking for the Irwin family’s aid, since if anybody might have faked being complicit with such conduct, at least their money might have found out. And I just can not keep my mind from wandering to the early morning “proactive” advertising, which clearly depicts that a very strong and stable moisturiser is required when using a very stringent and acid skin defoliant.

Never mind agent orange, we are up to agent purple already now; and exotic animals for pets sites are informing us not to worry about lactose intolerance in sugar gliders, and that you just click on the marsupial you want and you will get it.

Meanwhile, I find out only after writing this, that every of the Aborigine men whom I know, who knew about my family court case, had the information about sugar gliders being the method for protecting our identify from impositions of the false labelling with paedophilia: but did not want to let me know. So hadn’t I better surmise that those whom know me intimately were hoping I would be who found the story that enables such.

Basically my well worn belief in this is that we might not be able to sustain any real protection of the blood lines which get petted, and breed in captivity, so the breeders have no right claiming any part in the processes of protecting bio-diversity. But also that now, with the force of further policing and the Army, being sent into remote communities, to, among other things, conduct medical examinations: Why don’t us whitefellas make a big publicity campaign against domesticating marsupials; because the Aboriginal children who need to know that there are enough whitefellas who care about their welfare that it is possible to live in two cultures in safety, will receive our caring best through the stories of the baby sugar gliders. Thanks for reading.
